Useful photos let the owner understand the property before confirming the count and written estimate. Start with wide views that show the full building, then add close-ups for conditions that need explanation. Avoid counting glass from a single close-up alone.

Work through it

  1. Photograph each accessible side of the property from a safe ground-level position. Include upper windows, doors and balcony sliders in the wide views.
  2. Add details for divided panes, screens, tracks, hard-water marks or construction residue. Describe anything the photo does not clearly show.
  3. Provide the property location and whether you want interior, exterior or both. Mention gates, parking, access restrictions and the preferred timing.

Check your result

  • Every relevant elevation is represented.
  • Interior and exterior scope are stated.
  • Access limitations are described.
