Plan for coastal glass exposure

Coastal properties can experience salt spray, wind-driven debris and changing exposure across different elevations. A sheltered inland-facing window may age differently between cleanings than exposed seaward glass. Keep observations by area instead of assuming one schedule suits every surface.

Work through it

1. Note which windows receive direct spray, irrigation or heavy debris. Photograph recurring marks so you can explain the pattern when requesting service.
2. Separate routine surface buildup from damage or persistent deposits that need assessment. Ask about the suitable treatment for the actual glass and surrounding materials.
3. Review the result after service and track how the property changes over time. Use that experience to discuss an appropriate recurring schedule.
